A contact lens fitting is required if you are new to contact lens wear or your current contact lenses require modification beyond that accomplished during a routine exam & evaluation. Contact lens fees and materials are typically not covered by medical insurance. Our contact lens fitting process includes all of the following:
● All contact lens related follow-up visits within 90 days (typically 1-to-3 visits)
● Corneal topography
● Trial contact lenses
● Initial lens care solution “starter-kit”
● Contact lens training and instruction (for new wearers)
Some notes on payment:
New contact lens wearers must successfully complete a training session before leaving the office with trial lenses. Full payment is due on the day of your training (for new wearers) or at the start of a re-fit (for previous wearers). Professional fees associated with contact lens fittings are non-refundable. Patients who have had a recent eye examination and are interested in trying contacts for the first time have the opportunity to try a complimentary one-day contact lens trial.
A contact lens prescription will not be issued until your doctor determines your optimal contact lens prescription. It is our goal to make sure that your contact lenses provide the best possible vision while ensuring excellent eye health into the future.
